PROTECT YOUR SKIN

Skin Quality vs Anti-aging

We don’t like the term “anti-aging.” We don’t use it on our packaging or in our marketing. There’s nothing wrong with beautiful aging and we reject the negative connotations of vilifying age.

The focus should be (and always should have been) on promoting skin quality at any age -- healthy skin that does not show signs of premature aging caused by unprotected exposure skin damaging conditions. Sun and sea are at the top of that list.

Enrich Your Skin with SeaSolutionTM

We formulated SABIYA sunscreens with a powerful blend of natural marine ingredients that offer strong protection to sea-stressed skin. We call this remarkable blend SeaSolutionTM.

The Miracle of Sea Kelp Fermentation

The world’s most elite skin care brands know that sea kelp bioferments offer a vast array of compounds and nutrients that are hugely beneficial to skin health and wellness. Why sea kelp? Because it is quite literally the oldest living organism on the planet, and after 4.5 billion years of evolution it got very good at defending itself from the sun and elements. The fermentation process literally unlocks these defensive compounds and makes them highly “bio-available” to your skin.

You know this intuitively. You have seen sea kelp on the rocks at low tide getting hammered by the sun. Does it shrivel and dry out? No! When the tide comes in the organism is healthy and fine. That’s the kind of resilience we want for our kin.

We’ve studied the literature. We know that for skin exposed to the elements it’s well worth including. And because we are as transparent as our mineral sunscreen, we want you to know exactly what SeaSolution includes.

Sargassum Vulgare (Gulfweed)

Found in shallow tropical and temperate oceans, this free-floating species contains more than 200 biologically active compounds. It offers many skin health promoting benefits including antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory, free radical scavenging, DNA protection,
anti-pollution, UV protection, and barrier
function improvement. In laboratory tests, sargassum vulgare extract reduced solar DNA damage to skin cells by a staggering 97%!

4.5 billion years of evolution indeed!

Macrocystis Pyrifera (Giant Kelp)

This sea kelp, common along the coast of the northeastern Pacific Ocean, is a rich source of vitamins and minerals and can stimulate, moisturize, and regulate the tone and texture of the skin. It can slow the decline of collagen production to help keep skin elastic and smooth, and it has powerfulhydrating, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Fucus vesiculosus (Bladderwrack)

This brown seaweed found along North Atlantic coasts is Rich in calcium, iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium and B vitamins.
Bladderwrack helps calm inflammation when applied topically. It contains antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E which neutralize free radicals that cause premature signs of aging.

Pearl Powder

Yes, we actually put pearls in our sunscreen. And not just to show off.

Sourced from Japan, crushed pearl acts as a potent antioxidant, helping to fight free radical damage and minimize the signs of premature aging. Pearl is especially beneficial because of its numerous elements that support the skin’s surface, including magnesium, polysaccharides, amino acids, minerals, and proteins. It works as a natural exfoliator to sough off dead skin cells by gently polishing, conditioning, and brightening the skin.
